I reside in Brockport NY where I attended college and graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree and a Master of Mathematics in Education Degree. For the next thirty years I taught elementary grades 1,2,3,and5. While I taught I also raised my three children which left little time for painting. Whenever I could I would indulge myself by doing some kind of artwork, from bulletin boards in my classroom to painting bricks jumps at the stable where I rode.
In 2002 I retired from teaching and started painting with watercolors. My first art lessons were at the Skoog Art School then at the Memorial Art Gallery with instructors Dick Kane and Jeanne Lindsay. Inspiration for my paintings come from attending horse shows and rodeos, dog parks or any place I can observe animals.
The shows I have been juried into are from local art shows to international art shows with many awards including some Best of Show awards. My work has also been included in traveling shows and published in the Splash book series.
